Iván Fernández de Córdoba Romero (1989, Valencia, España).
I studied graphic design, audiovisual production, script in EICTV and cinema direction in “Ciudad de la Luz”, coordinated by Mariano Barroso (“Éxtasis”) and Pablo Berger (“Blancanieves”).
In my day-to-day I direct, write, record and edit fiction, documentary, advertising and TV. I handle video editing programs, postproduction and design. I know how to control the light in a staging and to film with every kind of cameras. As a director, my strength is that I plan and improvise any sequence. Moreover, I have knowledge of actor’s direction.
My most personal works are: Crossing the sense (2015), which is a film that tells the story of a young man that go across Spain with an skate as the only mean of transport and A place (2016), a short film about the prejudices of refugees in Europe. Between both of them, accumulate more than 35 awards and 100 selections in national and international festivals. Both works have nominations for the Goya Awards.
Two year ago I release mi last film, #Followers (2018), which is the first Valencian film selected in ten years in the Official Selection of “Cinema Jove”, competing with films presents in festivals such as Cannes, La Berlinale o Venecia. Finally, I have directed nine episodes of Cuineres i Cuineres (2019), catalogued as the best series in the Valencia Audiovisual Awards.
